22 week rundown.

based on what iphone app you look at or which doctor you talk to - i am 23 weeks as of today or tomorrow! i usually go by mondays, because a new week is just easier to keep track of. so lets recap!

22 weeks. oh little man. your movements are so intense. daddy felt them full on for the very first time the night we got the flooring put in your nursery. sitting on the new floor in an empty room with nothing but your new clothes hanging, admiring all the work that was done just for you & i think you might have been saying 'thank you' :)

^^ we did that!

^^ morning after, all spiffed up!
{ignore our million and one paint testing blotches, lol}

i have been more tired this week than in the entire pregnancy yet. far more tired than any week in the first trimester. and bending over to put on my uggs or hunters just isnt happening anymore. {which means the snow needs to take a hike}.

isaiah & i spent our sunday doing the parade of home tours and i was so quickly out of breath! parking down the block, getting into the home and looking around. i eventually learned that it was best to go upstairs right away so then i could work my way down. in the beginning id look at the main floor, then go down to the basement and then have to trek all the way to the upstairs and man. i was winded.

^^ 50ft ceiling & windows in a $1.1 million dollar home. :dream:

needless to say, this mama is feeling pregnant! love love love.

as im typing this, you little man - are kicking so hard that youre moving the keyboard up off my tummy. hehe. i got my phone out to record you, but of course you stopped for a solid 1:20seconds. i put my phone away. and here you are again saying hello.

^^ 22 weeks.

How far along? 22 weeks 6 days
Baby is the size of: 11 inches! just under the size of a ruler :)
Total weight gain: 10lbs! i gained two in the last week? oye. pretty sure its all in my face too. uh oh!
Maternity clothes? pants. every day. unless im wearing husbands sweats. which is not uncommon.
Stretch marks? i think i found a few under my ta-ta.
Sleep: so good. like i mentioned, ive been SO worn out this week! i got hit in the face with the pregnancy stick or something. but hopefully not the same pregnancy stick i peed on.... gross.
Best moment this week: accomplishing our nursery flooring. we did it all by ourself. i tore up all the carpet, padding & baseboards. and isaiah laid down the flooring. when we sell this house, leaving that room that we made specially for little man will be the saddest part! & of course isaiah feeling him after he finished the floor. "thanks for working so hard daddy, i know the last 11 hours spent on your knees was no fun" <3

Miss Anything? spring time shopping for regular clothes. i want to buy new shorts and boyfriend jeans. of which maternity shorts look awful on me, and maternity boyfriend jeans i am not spending $194 on. thankfully ill be pregnant for most of summer & post partum body for the tail end, so i keep telling myself next year. next year i can shop for regular clothes.
Movement: yes yes yes. so much!!! daddy keeps saying youre a soccer player. but i think every parent makes a soccer reference to their kicking baby, no?
Food cravings: panera mac & cheese. gimme.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nada.
Gender: little man!

Labor Signs: not welcome here. i am wondering about these braxton hicks. not sure ive had them yet. but wondering what they'll feel like and how i'll know.
Symptoms: out. of. breath.
Belly Button in or out? still rockin the innie!
Wedding rings on or off? on!

Happy or Moody most of the time: im either happy or tired ;)
Looking forward to: painting the nursery now that our floors are in! my birthday is next week (4/1), ill be turning 26. the age i become a mommy :) & we have another ultrasound on 4/10!

Your Baby:
  • Is about 11 inches long, which is just about one inch shorter than your average 12-inch ruler.
  • Has likely crossed the one-pound mark in weight.
  • Is getting more defined facial features every day, and already looks unmistakably like himself or herself on a 3D ultrasound.
