day 17 : a favorite photo

Day 17: A favorite photo of yourself and why

i have ten thousand photos. some of my self, sure. but over five thousand with isaiah. my husband, my best friend. and many photos capturing our days & our life together. making memories.
were photo obsessed around here, so what should have been an easy prompt for todays post, turned into something a little more complicated as i sat browsing through those photos.

then it hit me.
i know which photo is my favorite. which photo stands out in my head. which one gives me chills as the emotions flood back in.

i was so sick of my damaged hair as a blonde. and felt so guilty every time i went in to the salon to get it done, again and again. so i decided to go brunette and try to match something closer to my natural color.
i wasnt sure how i felt about it. i still dont. {what i do know, is i miss being a blonde err'day!}

anyways.

that picture was taken the day i got my hair done. isaiah and i went shopping and it was snapped in the dressing room at the GAP as i waited for him to get me a pair of jeans in a different size.

i sat on the bench and i looked at myself in the mirror and thought "i look feel like a mom".

little did i know, that 5 days later i would get my first positive pregnancy test. finally pregnant. and well indeed on my way to finally being a mom.

dreams come true people. & this picture will oddly always remind me of that.
