  {8.11.12}

yesterday was our one year anniversary so we decided to go back to the church we got married at :)
i think this may become a yearly tradition.

what a difference a year can make!

i am in awe of this life i live.

i am missing this blog world VERY much!

today crue is 10 days old. it's our first day home without daddy, and my first day changing a diaper of his! he's been wide awake between crying & breast feeding for the last 4 hours so this mama hasn't been able to get around to much on this beautiful Monday.

i hope to get my birth story posted shortly, aiming for this week!

but for now I will leave you with a picture of crue from Friday - one week old already! time flew. his umbi fell off on day 6! i cried. he already looks so different from the day he was born. he's not a fan of the carseat & hates bath time. it's either socks on or socks off. if one falls off, he goes ape shit. he loves sleeping {like his mama}, loves being worn in our babynest wrap by his daddy & snuggles right in for a good butt massage :) were both getting a hang of breastfeeding and i am shocked of how well it is going thus far. he lost 13oz in the hospital and was 7lbs 1oz the day we left on August 5th. (the doctors tell me 7lbs 14oz isnt a great accurate birth weight because i labored for so long before needing a c-section that he got A LOT of my fluids and was retaining a lot of water weight which was expected to come off in the first 24 hours.. so they werent as worried about his 13oz weight loss as i was.) we had his first peds appt on August 7th & he was up to 7lbs 5oz! i really hope i can keep a good supply and we'll continue to have a good journey when it comes to feeding this man. our 2 week check up is this friday and i'm anxious to see how much he's gained now :)

  10. Look how happy your are in both pictures. Makes my heart smile to see such a complete family. :)
    Doesn't it just blow your mind how fast time goes?!
    In the beginning Marcus hated bath time, too. A bath time trick we used to calm Marcus was keep a warm, wet wash cloth over the exposed areas during the bathing. It keeps bebe warm, and a little happier.

    Sarah, he is so beautiful. You did good, momma.
