i can't believe we are halfway there! give or take. depending on if she will follow crue's ideal on being late or not… i really wonder!
went to chicago for isaiah's semi annual work conference and stayed in the same hotel as the last three years. 2013? 14 weeks pregnant with crue. 2014? an almost 6 month old crue. 2015? an almost 18 month old crue with a 20 week bump! i loves it.
7 hour car ride to chicago and back were impressive. we had to stop for C but not me. my bladder during the day is a whole different story from my bladder during the night, man oh man! i would like that to be opposite someday.
took crue swimming in the hotel pool and unlike my pregnancy with crue - i didn't break out in red bumps all over nor get the serious itches! yay! he enjoyed the pool much more last time as a 5.5 month old… this time he thought it was too cold for fun.
i can tell that i am slowing down. on saturday we went to the Shedd aquarium in chicago with one of my july mama's and her son Mac where i just had those moments that i felt so tired from standing! yikes. we first met them in person when we were in chicago last year, and it was so fun to get the boys together again now that they could interact!
20w6d saturday night in hotel isaiah felt her for the first time. i am sure i blogged it, but i don't remember when he first felt crue. i hate that these memories slip my mind!
OH! in 2013, we had just found out crue was a boy before going to chicago. so while we were there, we went to zara and bought him his first boy outfit which he wore the following year for the first time :) you know where this is going right? OBVIOUSLY i made us get back to zara so we could buy baby girl her first outfit as well. i love repeating these events with my babies!!
overall chicago was well. a little bit of shopping, some naps with my babies and lots of good food. definitely ate an amazing loaded baked potato, some cheesecake and MORE creme brûlée. see you next january - with TWO kiddos! next year we might fly? but who knows how much crap we will have to bring for two kids and nearly a week in a hotel!
no more zofran! no more sickness and NO MORE 30 minute dry heaving sessions every morning that i brush my teeth! YAHOOOOO!!!!!!
because im feeling much better, this pregnancy is starting to feel much more like the first!
& i dont hate it :)

big game for the packers this sunday, and they won! one more game and hopefully we can win that too - then it'll be ON TO THE SUPERBOWL! they went to the Super Bowl in 2011 right after isaiah and i had met (both as huge packer fans) so we went to lambeau for the game to watch in our element with other packer fans and it was so much fun. after the game he officially asked me to be his girlfriend! <3 maybe we'll try to do the same thing again if we make it!
the sickness has subsided 90%. some headaches creeping in, and some dizziness but i only took a zofran once at 19w6d. were finally on the up&up! it might feel weird now to go the last half without being sick. two pregnancies, two babies and two totally different experiences! i wouldn't change it for the world.
baby girl may have been laying a little different, i felt like my bump was a bit smaller most days.
i am dying to go on a baby moon. unfortunately we won't be able to cruise before i'm 24 weeks and you aren't allowed to cruise after that. has anyone done anything fun that isaiah, crue and i would all enjoy together?! are there any nice family inclusive resorts out there?? clue me in!! i want the ocean and some warmth, STAT! if i could avoid doing my own laundry, cooking, dishes, renting a car and filling up gas - that would be great. yeaaaaaaah. vacation is my idea to AVOID all those things ;)
finally got a foil for my hair and feeling better now that my roots are a bit lighter! progress. i colored my hair brown just before we found out we were pregnant with crue, and i didn't go blonde until after he was born so i never had to deal with this! i am not a mama who thinks going to the salon is very relaxing. weird much?
sleeping well. thank goodness for the bump nest.
cravings have been consistent on the sugar sweet path. this week? give me all the icee's! SO quenching.
on wednesday 1/4, we had our 20 week anatomy scan at 19w3d. i drank some mt. dew on the way and ate a few gummy bears in the waiting room :) baby girl was well and cooperative for us! still a girl! she immediately showed us her heart so we jumped right into those measurements and everything is looking well. we are SO thankful. we watched her pee & vividly got to count her 10 fingers and 10 toes over the duration of the scan. she kept her legs closed for a while, barely opening them up being too shy to show us her lady parts. she had such a fun time grabbing her ankles and clapping her feet together for us! "look what i can do!" and at the very end when we were trying to get her to move for a good profile (half the time she was looking right at us.. gave a weird owl looking skeleton image!)... she waved!! heartbeat was 158 during the scan and 156 on the doppler afterwards with our OB.
i really have wondered how i could ever love anyone the way that i love crue. but this ultrasound just confirmed all of our greatest hopes and dreams. our fears can be set aside. we are SO in love with this baby girl and can not wait to see our family go from 3 to 4 as we all get to learn how this little girl works in her days. she is so dearly wanted and prayed for.

i think i am feeling baby movements every day now! still a bit muffled from my anterior placenta so they're the little flutters vs the full on kicks but i am LOVING the butterflies!!
my mom said i look a bit rounder this week. could be true since i started feeling baby girl, maybe she had a growth spurt?!
made it through target WITHOUT getting sick! i fully prepared. took my coat off immediately and stopped at starbucks so i could shop with a drink in hand :)
i had a late night craving for creme brûlée so we drove across town to one of the only restaurants that offer it. totally satisfying :)
two more weeks until the anatomy scan. can't wait to see her! and make sure she didn't grow a peen! ohhh my would i be in trouble.
we haven't started much with the guest room/nursery but i have a great idea of things i want to start buying and made a little inspiration board to help my husband see what i am envisioning! we need to paint crue's room first (be gone with the navy and chevron!), move the bed from our guest room into crue's room and then paint the nursery! eeep!
clothes are another thing. i have been buying LOTS of those. all used though. the deals i've been finding on some BST Facebook groups are too good to pass up. buying for baby girls is dangerous ya'll! we'll be going to chicago at the end of jan and i plan to buy her her first real outfit (at least at full price, just for her!) at Zara. when we were there in 2013, i was 14 weeks pregnant with crue and we had stopped there to buy him his first boy outfit :) the sweetness.
this pregnancy is truly flying by. it saddens me!

the sickness. i don't feel it, but its there. we've upgraded to puking in target 9 times out of 10. BABY GIRL WHY YOU NO LIKE TARGET?!
the sleep. i got a bump nest!! it is heaven. its taking some time getting use to as a pillow with my head, so i usually end up pushing it way up and still using my regular pillow under my head. im obsessed with that thing. but the bump nest has been so nice to have around my back or belly and in between my legs!
we officially have told everyone that baby G 2.0 is a girl. heres to hoping that never changes now!
isaiah said i am starting to get a waddle.
i got together with a friend from high school who now lives in AR. we met up at a caribou coffee with our baby boys, which was the same caribou we went to every morning on our way to school. it was SO fun to sit there with her, 10 years later and chat with our babies! life changes in crazy ways. but im so blessed to do life with her! those friendships are rare. her sweet baby boy was born a year after C :)
this marks 17 weeks pregnant with baby girl and crue hit 17 months old! … we match in numbers, for a few days ;)
the cravings. too much candy. tooooo much! first it was the doritos with top the tater, then it was the sour patch kids (which is still ongoing) … but twice this week i made isaiah leave the house. once for an ice cream twix bar, and once for a caramel sundae from mcdonalds.
the weight gain. had an impromptu appointment to hear the heartbeat after i panicked all weekend long over sweet nothings. heartbeat was in the 150's and i found out ive gained 4lbs since my first appointment at 6w. i believe at this point with c, i had gained 10+. i should check that out!
we bought a doppler. after my freak out, i had to give in. so far? its been the best decision ever! isaiah found her the two times we tried - i'm amazed at how good he is with that. and so patient! he definitely keeps me calm too as we wait. i don't think i will ever look for her without having him around. he keeps me grounded. but man, hearing her heartbeat - never gets old! i think it'll be nice to find her the night before our 20w appointment too, and walk into that feeling a little less nervous than usual.
the last night of 17w, i felt her move! we also heard a few of her kicks on the doppler and i could lightly feel them. can't wait for this to get stronger! MOVE OVER YOU STUPID PLACENTA.
= me feeling her exactly a week before i first felt crue. anterior placenta for both pregnancies.
we celebrated NYE 2014, with a baby in my belly just as we celebrated 2012. nostalgia! isaiah and i took a little trip to the melting pot while my mom watched crue. they got rid of the bananas foster!!! just rude. melting pot, you are no longer my favorite.
NYE 2012 - 2013 - 2014
i can't believe were getting in to week 18!
this pregnancy is flying. makes me sad!

if you live in the twin cities - PLEEEEASE tell me you have heard of "All Things Diapers!"
if you have, then great! i know you are ready to go again :)
and if you haven't, then perk up mama's and papa's!
All Things Diapers is a baby boutique store located here in MN, over in the city of Blaine. i LOVE the variety that they have in store, but what really gets me is that their customer service is UNBEATABLE. they absolutely blow babies r us out of the water. trust me. if you're a new mama, go to all things diapers instead of babies r us because you don't want to start pulling out your hair now. save that hair, because it'll all fall out later! many of the workers are parents themselves and they totally get how you are feeling!
and have i mentioned their cloth diapering services?! it can be SO hard to find diapers without ordering online. i know the world of cloth diapers can be an overwhelming one - but All Things Diapers can help! get to their store to feel and test out all sorts of cloth diapers and see which one may suit your family best. they'll also help organize the cleaning and the rest of the yucky stuff that your husband may not be so into.
if you aren't located in the twin cities, you can shop All Things Diapers online, 24 hours a day and take advantage of their FREE SHIPPING. how awesome (and rare) is that!
if you're shopping online, use "MidwestPillowtalk" in the check out to get 5% off your order! and if you are one of my expecting mama friends, go stop in the store for 40% off some cozy clothes for your darling bump!
