that moment when you walk on a ship... ahhh, it is EVERYTHING.
we look forward to that moment SO much!

our days leading after we boarded were wonderful.

the first day was technically the second day in terms of cruising, and we we are at sea all day! the best way to begin. and pretty much the only way to begin since it takes some time to get to any islands, ha ha.
we woke up at whatever time, i think us before the kids and after getting ourselves ready - they were still asleep! it was pretty much the theme of the entire vacation. i wish i could wear them out like that at home! every morning was the same routine pretty much, just as we liked it with a little bit of leeway. wake up, go get breakfast, head to the room for the pool and head out! our kids went to most breakfasts still in their pajamas ;) wining.

true fashion of trying to get a picture of them together in their coordinating outfits LOL sigh.

our day was spent. the time outside flew by and before we knew it, hours had gone by! lakely and crue both took a short nap outside near the pool so once they woke up we went back in for a bit, got some lunch and headed in for another nap out of the sun. of course after that - we HAD to golf! if you know crue, we golfed every single day. boyfriend could hardly walk by it without grabbing a club!

it was our first formal night so we made sure to leave plenty of time before dinner so we could get all four of us ready and bop around the ship to take photos at their little stands! obviously, in true nautical cruise loving fashion - the kids were dressed up to fit the part. we did it for crue's first cruise - so we HAD to do it again! i promise you too, we will be following suit until my kids can fight me on it :)

if you read the post about boarding/day 1 - then you remember the SWEETEST couple we met who worked on the ship. they were in love with our children to above and beyond, so we made sure to stop in and see them.

the wife, andreea - she loved them both but crue was her weak spot!

the husband, alin - lakely had him wrapped around her finger!

after dinner, we went to a late night show from a group of acapella(?) singers and they were outstanding! i think they were called the edge effect. they did amazing cover songs and were just so good. not knowing how the kids would handle it, we made sure to sit up higher near the exits of the top floor in the theater. lakely fell asleep during the show and crue was into it! one point he just decided to get up and dance behind us with all the open seating. a bachelorette party was drinking in the balcony and they gave crue a lot of attention! i don't know who loved it more. once that was over, it was already a late night so back to the room we went for bed!

florida. what a dream.

back in march we took another cruise, and it was as dreamy as dreamy can get.

we flew into florida a day early, got to the hotel around 5, checked in and took a little breather after two flights with the two kiddos.
it wasn't long before we were hungry and set out on a venture for food.
across from the hotel was a mcdonalds, next to a strip mall, next to dunkin donuts! we don't have dunkin donuts in minnesota, and if I'm being honest - thats the sole reason as to why i booked that hotel! but before you think I'm crazy, we never made it to dunkin donuts :(
the strip mall had a sports bar and i love pub food - so we ventured into there for dinner. two steps in and we realize we are in a HUGE packer bar! the owners were from green bay wisconsin!
seriously. we need to move to florida. stat.
after dinner, it was the usual bed time situation so we could wake up early and get into cruise mode! low and behold things got crazy. we had to be downstairs to catch the shuttle and we were probably the last ones rolling up. i had huge hopes of going to dunkin donuts for some iced coffee and my husband just said that there was no way we would make it. so mcdonalds iced coffee it was. that place was a MAD HOUSE. I'm still convinced i could have made it to dunkin donuts in the time we waited at mcdonalds.
i think we were the last 4 of 6 people on the shuttle and had to sit apart. i got lakely on my lap with the diaper bag and my iced coffee, my husband got crue with nothing. i got stuck next to an old lady who kept talking to me about parenting and handing me her dirty handkerchiefs to wipe lakes nose with while judging me and isaiah got to sit between the cool kids who just got married and engaged.

from the moment we got off the shuttle, we were treated like royalty. which is why i love royal caribbean. seriously. loyal to royal. for life. the luggage handlers helped us get our bags, find some diapers and they were so patient with us while we juggled the kids. when we got into the port terminal, we got to skip the long line, people were friendly with helping us pass through ropes and manage the stroller, they were chatty with my kids and checked us in quick!

this was crue's 2nd cruise and lakely's first. my 5th and isaiah's 4th.
listen to me when i say this : we will live on a cruise ship someday.

day one was just boarding. we got on around 12:30, had some pizza on the promenade and lakely crashed in the stroller. we can't get into our rooms until 1 so we ventured the ship and crue took it all in. he was specifically obsessed with the old fashion car at the end of the promenade. before we knew it, we were able to go to our room! we got a balcony again and it was perfect. isaiah was a little worried because of the kids but i think it was a huge game changer. crue was definitely a big fan.

at the back of our ship, the Oasis of the Seas, there is a huge aqua theater. there is so much hype when you board the ship. everyone has their happy pants on. no one is at work. the drinks are flowing. the food is free. the weather is warm. the music is jammin'. it is THE LIFE. the aqua theater was playing a dreamwork show for the kids with characters and lakely was living it up.

crue found the golf course on our way to the back of the ship so we could wave and say goodbye. its totally like the titanic. everyone on the ship waves to everyone on the land its nostalgic.

we sailed away around 5pm and were ocean bound for the next 9 days of bliss!

LC : 9 M0NTHS!

doctors appointment: 9 month appointment 3/7/16 - did the finger prick for iron and got 1 shot. didn't make a peep for the finger prick, totally calm cool and collected. watched them squeeze the blood out of her finger. but cried fairly hard for the vaccine in her leg!

and then she grew up

height: 26.5in / 16.7%tile
weight: 16lb 7oz / 11.5%tile (this is a huge jump from the 2% she's been all along!)
head: 17" / 26.3%tile

diapers: honest size 3

clothes: 0-3 shirts, some 3-6 pants tho they're baggy on her waist and finally into 3-6 dresses.

eating/drinking: nurses ALL the time. hours a day. even more hours at night. 2-3 meals a day of baby led weaning. she has dinner with us at the table and absolutely loves that.

napping/sleeping: baby girl takes a hardcore good nap in the mornings. 3,4 sometimes FIVE hours. so i know she can sleep for a while. i know she's not hungry at night. but between the hours of 12am and 5am, she is up non stop. about 5-6 times. girlfriends got it all twisted.

- she's a little devil and thinks its HILARIOUS when crue cries. she stops whatever she's doing and laughs at him.
- bath time
- moms boobs and food. eating period.
- crawling to the dog bowls and splashing the water all over.

hates: SLEEP.  oh for the love of God. last night i was awake with her 4 times in under 2 hours.

extra news:
- loves clapping
- started shaking head "no"
- crawls on all fours, VERY fast.
- pulls herself on everything & walks along furniture
- second airplane flight, second time going to florida!
- says "MOMMMM", "mama" and "dada". she said "MOMMMM" sometimes like "MERMMMMM" and its always when she's crawling to me, pissed off at the world and hungry. i am pretty sure she's cussing me out. she says "mama" when she's crying and sad. "dada" comes out when she's happy and content.

she's in the stage where everything is changing and there is something new every week. it is so exciting and were having so much fun. now only if she would sleep....

its a plunderful life

hey blog readers!
i have done a complete 360 in the last two weeks - on such a whim! and it has been GREAT. so i want to share with you all!
two weeks ago, i saw a photo in a Facebook group of such a fun outfit. i immediately wanted to know more. i am always feeling so boring and drab when i get dressed in the mornings. i am always feeling so "blah". i have been in such a rut and while updating my wardrobe helped some, it didn't solve the problem. so i inquired with the lady about the necklace she was wearing.
she went on to help me out and explain that the necklace came from plunder.
the next night, less than 24 hours later - i found myself hosting a plunder facebook party. i had so much fun. the girls had so much fun. we all got lots of goodies and i truly felt wonderful. before my goodies had even arrived!
i mean, being stuck in the house all. day. with my two hooligans may have something to do with it, but it felt great to be around girls and chatting about jewelry and sharing some of the same feelings when it came to being in a rut or knowing nothing about fashion.
from that party - i got 10 things for the price of 2! that is seriously INCREDIBLE!
i went to hobby lobby right away and bought a new thing to organize all my necklaces on and hung that in my closet so i can always see them and grab one when i get dressed in the mornings. or afternoons. but who's keeping track?!

it was an instant mood booster for me.
i felt happier. i looked more put together.

so it began.

6 month family photos

we drove 8 hours to have these photos taken.
the kids were probably the worst they've ever been in the car and i thought we may never arrive in one piece. but when we got the photos back, i was immediately reassured that it was worth every.second!
